This breed is medium sized and moderately built puppy. The Malinois can vary in appearance widely with color from mahogany to black mask. They come in different variety of colors and coats with similar appearance to the German Shepherds and the Dobermans breeds.
They are about 24-26 inches tall and weigh about 29-34 kg with as square built. They are mainly trained for the protection purposes. If trained in a well manner, they are quite hard-working, protective, loyal and active. They should be provided vigorous exercises otherwise they will prove to be very destructive. They should be provided with rigorous training of obedience as they are very big and strong dogs.
Malinois breed of dogs are always ready for some challenging and new tasks. They are also prone to certain amalgamate diseases like cataracts, pannus, thyroid problems and retinal atrophy. They have a very diverse temperament owing to which their certain mental behavior and response to a particular, task or situation cannot be determined to an accurate state.
