With their ancestors as Doberman, they keep their origin in late 1500 in the northern France. Beauceron is well known in native France and is still used in herding sheep though they are also useful in security, guiding, police helping and military tracking purposes.
This puppy has a double coating layer with a harsh and tough outer layer with a soft coat on the inner side of its body. They have a wide chest, dark nose and strong tail. The weight is about 110 pounds for both male and female and they grow up to 25.5 to 27.5 inches (male) and 24 to 26.5 inches (female). They are fairly intelligent and they also live with children if raised together. They are fearless with strangers and they follow the instructions of their masters with no question at all.
They are very protective and can earn credits as guard dogs. They can herd not only sheep but also humans very efficiently. The master should be active, enthusiastic and firm so that this breed has always some tasks to keep them busy. If you have the yard you should keep it protected electronically so that these breeds do not make you hasty all the time.
Beauceron should be trimmed and brushed once in a week and whenever it is necessary you should give them a thorough bath. They are also prone to diseases like various worms, dog ticks, fleas, bloating and hip dysplasia. You have to visit health camps regularly to keep your puppy safe from the various parasites. You should diagnose your dog often to save your time and money.
